MEMORIZING... is not my strength, okay?

It's annoying when teachers give you a lot of things to memorize, right? It's more annoying when you either hate memorizing or hate the poem, article, or essay you're supposed to memorize. Obviously, I especially hate memorizing because I am not good at it.
From all the things you make me do on the weekend after studying hard for the unit tests (unitest? I don't know how to spell it right), you make me memorize a whole poem with 12 stanzas and a declamation speech. You're probably thinking that I can memorize one today and the other at another day after the performance but no. I have to memorize both today because one will be presented this coming Monday and the other will be presented the day after Monday. It's annoying. Including the report the teacher is making us do that will also be passed this coming Monday too(but she gave it two weeks before which is somehow acceptable). Then, there is another assignment that requires memorizing... At least this one is a song, which makes it easier for me. Ugh... I hate it...
That's it for today, this is M.I.G. signing off to another great day :)

Report card...

                  (I haven't been posting lately, I know...)
Guess what? My report card was given a few days ago and I didn't like what I just saw. My grades got lower. I was disappointed because I thought I did quite good last quarter. My grades got 0.12 lower and that's a bit much to deduct to my grade. I know that I might be exaggerating a little.... maybe too much. That leads me to this post.
How to react when your grades got lower...

  1. Don't cry. Crying doesn't solve anything, unless your teacher sees you and gives you additional grade just so you could stop crying.
  2. Don't always look at the dark side of things. Try to look at the bright side. There are some disappointments there but there must be a bright side. Try to cheer yourself up by looking at that, unless your grades are 0.
  3. Accept it. Acceptance is one of the most important factors on how to react to most problems like this. Just try to improve the next time.
  4. Keep calm and enjoy life. This step is for people whose grades got too low. Do the things that would cheer you up. You could talk to a friend, ride a bike, smell the flowers, hug a tree and explore the wonders of life. But this doesn't mean you should be like that all the time because that could leave you in worse situations.
I was really busy the last few days and I was trying to look or squeeze in my regular schedule for blogging but it seems like my homeworks and studies are too much to handle together with it. Hope you could understand.

Her Visit :))

Finally, from hours of studying, I finally had time to blog.... So... How you guys doing?
So just a few days ago, a famous blogger visited our club and she gave us some tips about blogging... Do you know who she is??? She is THE Patty Laurel... If you don't know her... Here is her blog to give you a great picture of how she looks like... http://www.pattylaurel.com/
She was great and I really enjoyed our time with her. She was fun and active... I have been checking her blog out lately. It's really nice (better than mine). She knew everything a blogger needs to know and told it to us, I now know how to make my blog better!... hopefully...
I had high expectations when I saw her, but when she started discussing, she went beyond what I expected. I really valued her visit. I will treasure it FOREVER! Most likely if I see her, I would go "crazy fan girl" on her. :P
I was supposed to post this last Tuesday but the computer wasn't working and my sister was doing her homework on the other computer...

*Updates: I'm not yet done planning on my first vlog. I couldn't pick between "Q&A"s or "I dare MIG" or a music video kind most likely acapella or somethings I missed out last year. I would probably upload the video somewhere at December... maybe.
Oh yeah... Don't forget to pray for the Philippines because remember when I said there was a large earthquake that hit us, now it is flooded there... Filipinos... stay strong and face the flood with a smile :)

Pentatonix

The other day, my sister found another great group on YouTube named "Pentatonix". If some of you know this group, you would say that this group isn't new to you. (I'm sorry! I'm not updated!) They are so good. I just subscribed to them a few minutes ago.
I enjoy each of their acapella songs that I could listen to them all day. They sing nice songs, medleys, and any kind of song that they know. Try watching and listening to one of their videos called "Evolution of Music". The link is...

I was surprised when my sister told me they won in a contest named "The Sing-off" years ago. They are five in a group and they managed to beat groups with at least 8-13 members each. I was really speechless when I watched most of their performances.
If you like them, why don't you subscribe to them on their YouTube page: http://www.youtube.com/user/PTXofficial , like them on facebook https://www.facebook.com/Pentatonix , and if you like to know more about them, you could visit their page at http://www.ptxofficial.com/
Oh yeah... here is a picture of them so you could see how they look like. (Although they changed looks now)
